Here at the ComingCrisis.com we are here for the people. Our goal is simple to educate and inform the masses about the changes coming in the new millennium.
The problem with traditional media is it is biased, and sometimes but not always has an agenda.
Our sole aim is to provide a “lens” on the specific subject of the upcoming baby boomer crisis, and the issues that go along with it.
A little background on this subject. During the early 1900’s the world and more specifically the United states went under a major economic boom, the reason now see for that boom was the generation that was alive then was larger than the previous generation by a significant amount (think of it as a 1900’s baby boom) also at that time there was a massive shift in technology.
The newest form’s of technology were the automobile, of which there were over one thousand different manufactures. Electricity which was just hitting the streets of new york, and was being rolled out across the country.
Also the radio had just be invented and changed the way the world communicated with each other.
With the merging of all these technologies came the great boom of the 1920’s all the way up till 1929 when the stock market crashed and the great depression began. Although there is great debate but it is believed the stock market crash help trigger the slide into the depression but by no means was the cause.
Paving The Future
With the great depression rearing it’s ugly head (during the depression 1 in 5 people were unemployed, that 20% far from todays rate of 6%) and America and the rest of the world in peril, people turned to what they know how to do best in times of turmoil and economic panic, they started to fight all over the world they began fighting more and more.If you thought America was bad during the depression you should have seen Germany, Germany stuck with the reparation payments from World War 1 was in financial crisis, hyperinflation had set in and every day the price of goods would change drastically
(Inflation 1923-24: A woman in Germany feeds her tiled stove with money. The money is worth less than firewood.) The German Government kept printing more and more money until it was worthless.
Mr. Hitler please come help us!
Adolf Hitler was going through the same problems as the rest of his country at that time, Germany was by a wide gap the poorest country in the world, Hitler saw this as an opportunity to lead his people to greatness. People believed in him because when the the times are desperate and people are starving why would they not, every country needs a strong leader and at that time he was that person. It is human nature to wish for someone or something to “save” you in a time of peril. When Hitlers agenda became known and the war started the governments started to spend everything they had, all of a sudden the massive unemployment seemed to go away almost overnight, tanks, ships and guns had to be built and the countries were producing them at full speed.
The War is over
After World War II the troops came home to there wives which some had not seen for more than five plus years. There was a common saying during the war between men, when asked what was the first thing they would do when they got home? There response was
the first thing I’m going to do is make love to their wife, the second thing they would do is drop there duffel bag.
That’s what they did, they had baby after baby after baby. A common family had anywhere between 5-7 babies and sometimes more, this is when everything started to change we had another generation that eclipsed the previous one by a significant amount.
Now with 90 million baby boomers in North America (excluding Mexico) we have the biggest generation the world has ever seen, they have changed every aspect of investing and how money is being spent, just one example is the Davie Crockett Craze, which debuted in North America in 1954, all of the sudden you has 90million children all wanting raccoon skin hats, at that time In the same year, the price of raccoon skin suddenly leaped from a mere 25 cents per pound, to a staggering $8.00. It’s the baby boomer effect.
That’s what we will be looking at as we continue on this journey, we will touch on the issues that face us in the coming decades (i.e. health care, retirement, savings and global depression). Once again this blog is designed to inform and to help those that want to be able to prosper from the world that is changing around us so rapidly.
